M PERFORMANCE TWINPOWER TURBO INLINE 6-CYLINDER PETROL ENGINE.

The M Performance TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine features superior power delivery, silky smooth running and an exceptional performance. Not only that, but the brawny 3.0-litre engine emits a captivatingly sporty sound as it goes about its work, thanks to a sound-optimised exhaust system with an innovative flap concept. This engine combines the Valvetronic fully variable valve control including Double-VANOS, High-Precision Injection and a TwinScroll turbocharger to optimally fill the cylinders. The result: a top performance of 265 kW (360 hp) and a maximum torque of 465 Nm. This means that the Turbo petrol engine accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h in a breathtaking 4.9 s, reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. Thanks to various intelligent technological innovations, its fuel consumption drops to a combined rate of just 8.6 litres per 100 km at a CO2 emissions level of only 199 g/km. Impressively efficient, packed with power and delivering a direct response even at low engine speeds – this all-conquering drive train is destined to delight the driver of every M Performance vehicle. All figures were determined in accordance with the EU test cycle and depend on the selected tyre format.

The new generation of BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engines is a testament to the rigorous application of the BMW EfficientDynamics philosophy, combining top marks in power generation and performance with low fuel consumption. The diesel engines are notable for their excellent responsiveness and agile power delivery at all engine speeds, as well as for their low fuel consumption. They are renowned for their outstanding efficiency and dynamics, producing very few emissions and friction in order to guarantee maximum driving pleasure. The new diesel engines in the BMW EfficientDynamics range feature lightweight aluminium construction and one, two or three turbochargers with variable turbine geometry. They also come with the very latest CommonRail direct injection, which guarantees optimum combustion to further reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
